Allison
Iraheta proves her potential with her new album "Just Like
You"
By Christine Vaughan
With
her flaming hair and sparking personality Allison Iraheta dominates
the cover of her new album "Just Like You". Her punk rock
look draws attention. Released in stores and online Tuesday, December
1st, Iraheta has a lot to live up to. She became a runner up in
last season's American Idol. First Place Kris Allen has sold around
90,000 albums in his first week, while controversial first runner
up, Adam Lambart has already sold 210,000 during his albums first
week in the market.
Iraheta's new album is mainly pop rock which was most expected by
her performances on AI. Yet, some songs were almost a little too
common and not unquie . But her smokey voice presents a new twist
for her age group especially with her new hit single "Friday
I'll be Over You". With her mature vocie, she is able to awe
listeners with her outstanding vocals, even with some disappointing
lyrics. Despite this, Iraheta will definitely be able to gain attention,
and mature as an artist. Her new album is a rocky start, but lays
way for a promising future.
